It is explicit with regard to the period of time involved. the kind of information to be provided the Congress by the executive branch and also the right of Congress to obtain additional information. In addition. Mr. Speaker. there is a provision for public hearings on the number of refugees to be admitted. which will allow for careful congressional and public scrutiny with regard to the numbers of refugees to be admitted and the countries from which they are to be admitted to the United States. With regard to the issue of the Cuban program. Mr. Speaker. I think the gentleman from Virginia did not intend to be misleading but I think the effect of his comments is misleading.
