For 100 years. this splendid organization has helped Americans of PoY.sh and of nonPolsh origin to appreciate and love the heritage and culture of the people of Poland. Since its incepton. the PoYlsh Natonal Allance. whose membership is essentially composed of Americans of Polish heritage. has continually fought for the freedom and independence of its mother country. Poland. The alliance began on February 15. 1880. in Philadelphia with 10 men under the leadershlp of industrialist Julius Andrzejkowica. The organizations purpose was to join the societal and cultural communit.es of Polsh immigrants in various parts of the country in order to form a unified group with national scope. The growth of the alliance began with 12 societies from Philadelphia. Chicago.
