Mr. President. I am delighted and moved to convey to my colleagues some of the individual and group efforts that have been initiated in Oregon to respond to both the immediate Cambodian crisis and the longer term problem of Indochinese refugees. Mr. Ron Post. a Portland businessman. founded a volunteer effort called the "Northwest Medical Team" to aid in refugee relief. Many skilled medical people from the Northwest have volunteered to serve in the refugee camps in Thailand and Cambodia. The first 20 of the volunteers have been selected and will be leaving within 2 weeks from Travis Air Base under the auspices of World Vision. Each medical team will consist of two doctors. four nurses and two paramedics.
