I think we did the best we could to get others to do more than they had been doing. Although there were no quotas and we could not force other countries to do more. there was some response. I agree with the gentleman. others could do a good deal more than they are doing. but the fact is that this is a nation of immigrants. Almost all of us somewhere back in the history of our families started out as immigrants. This country has accomplished some wonderful things with these different cultures and peoples that have come together to form and enrich this mosaic. as well as the melting pot that is our country. I think that many of these people have a contribution to make to our country. too.
