President. the House bill provides $1.724.957.000 under chapter VII for the programs and activities under the jurisdiction of the Treasury. Postal Service. and General Government Subcommittee. The major items included in the House bill are for 121.292 motor vehicles at a cost of $297 million. $28 million for construction of Joint Customs Service/Immigration and Naturalization Service border stations. $440 million for real property operations and alteration and major repairs of Federal buildings. and $900 million for the U.S. Postal Service. There is little doubt that the House bill would provide jobs in the industries which have experienced the largest unemployment.
