This assistance proves that fact. without involving us in a war we do not wish to reenter. In the past few weeks. people from across my State of New Hampshire and in many other States have shown their concern for the people of South Vietnam. They have sought to adopt orphans of this tragic war. and they have donated medical and food supplies to the refugees of this war. Now they pray we do not turn our backs on people who have helped and depended upon us. Their taste for American involvement in South Vietnam is bitter. but their resolve for helping those now in danger is clear.
