Chairman. I rise in opposition to the amendment offered by the gentleman from New York . One of the features. of the amendment in the nature of a substitute offered by the gentleman from Pennsylvania . a limitation on the number of refugees coming into the United States. Under the Solarz amendment. we are facing an influx of some 130.000 to as many as 2 million refugees into this country. Mr. Chairman. I do not want to see 130.000 refugees brought into this country. Like millions of other Americans. I am sympathetic to the hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese who are faced with living under the rule of the North Vietnameselong called their enemy.
