Speech #940038114

Speaker. the airlift of Vietnamese orphans to the United States during the past week and widespread concern over the uncertain fate of those children left behind have focused national attention on one of the very tangible consequences of U.S. involvement in Vietnam. It is touching to see the outpouring of love and concern from thousands of American families who have demonstrated their willingness to open their homes and their hearts to these innocent victims of war. I would like to share with my House colleagues a letter which recently apeared in the Saigon Post. This item was sent by a San Diegan currently in Saigon. and I include "An Open Letter to U.S.
