Certainly. the President demonstrated his willingness to work together with Congress in signing the tax bill on last Saturdayone that I believed he should sign and one that had many "bad" provisions. In any event. the President indicated and demonstrated at that time a willingness to work with Congress. It is my hope that in the rush to help those refugees. we not find ourselves in a position. perhaps. of promising millions for surrender but not 1 cent for freedom. In my view. there still is some obligation. and I could not care less aboct President Thieu or any other leader in Southeast Asia. There are literally millions of people who have looked at this country over the years for freedom and for support.
