I am sure my colleagues who were active In efforts to free Simas Kudirka from Soviet prison will be interested in this column on Mrs. Ausra Zerr. of Glenside. Pa.. a constituent of mine. Mrs. Zerr. a leader in LithuanianAmerican groups. is herself a refugee from Lithuania which is held in the iron grip of the Soviet bloc. She helped generate the nationwide publicity and governmental interest n the case of Kudirka who was forcibly removed from a U.S Coast Guard vessel by seamen from a Russian trawler some 4 years ago when he tried to escape to freedom. That one persons individual endeavors can have a profound effect is illustrated by Mrs.
