Secretary of Labor. has Indicated support for it. The kind of programs they are talking about far exceed in amount what we are talking about here today. The $350 million would bring the total program to some $2.1 billion and this includes not only the public service employment. and job training programs but specialized manpower programs such as OIC and SER and migrant and Indian programs as well. So the mandate under this legislation is even broader than that under a particular public service employment proposal. But I want to indicate at this time as one sponsoring this amendment with my colleague and friend. the Senator from New York. that It is our Intention that these additional funds be used.4or public service employment.
