It is a greater tragedy that Turkey has resumed military operations on Cyprus in violation of the July 30. 1974. ceasefire agreement. This unjustified resumption of military action by Turkey can only result in further suffering by the People of CyprusGreek and Turk alike. For the people of Cyprus this war is a nightmare of death and suffering. Thousands of Cypriot citizens have been forced from their homesespecially in Turkish occupied areas. And thousands more have fled to escape the fighting and became refugees. The Cyprus question cannot be resolved by foreign Intervention. The political problems of Cyprus can only be solved by the Cypriot people themselves with the assistance of the United Nations.
