I am sure in a repetitious way. with the livestock situation as it exists today. why these conditions do exist. and their impact upon the consumer and what can be done at this time. Let me say. Mr. President. that among those things that can be done now are the following: First. it is imperative. I believe. that the President lift his suspension of the meat import quota law. Second. it seems to me wherever practical the Federal Government should increase its purchase of meat to improve the quality of the school lunch program. Third.
