Poyo. now a senior volunteer with the Jersey City RSVP. teaches Spanish to classes of all age groups at the Zabriskie Street Branch of the Jersey City Public Library. When these Spanish classes are over. he enjoys helping out with the toddler story hour in the library. In addition to his regular assignment. Mr. Poyo took on a temporary special assignment. for several months. he offered onetoone counseling to a student in the Harrison School system who had recently emigrated from Spain and was having adjustment problems. Mr. Poyo also contributes to the Jersey City RSVP newsletter. and is a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
