Session #93 · 1973–75

Speech #930240562

Sol Marks. District Director of the New York District. Immigration and Naturalization Service. retired after a distinguished career of Government service. It was my privilege to work with Sol Marks during the past 14 years and to experience firsthand his ability to administer in a compassionate and efficient manner the immigration laws of our Nation. Sol Marks understood the problems of his field because he took the time to talk to people. He was always available to answer a question. to meet with public officials or the press. to help a family concerned about reuniting loved ones. or to help his colleagues improve the administrative machinery at the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. Mr. Speaker. we shall all miss Sol Marks whose brilliant record speaks for itself.
