We have found that some persons do not even know of the existence of the law. which Is really the only proper vehicle on which to Impose penalties. Eighth. H.R. 13342 protects migrant workers when they do complain of violations with a nondiscrimination clause. If a worker believes. with just cause. that he has been discriminated against for complaining of violation of the act. he may file a complaint with the Secretary. who may bring action for relief. Relief would be in the form of an injunction. rehiring. or damages up to $1.000.
