I do not think there was any logic in what the State Department did last week. but I am glad that the State Department reversed its position. There seems to be a blind spot in regard to certain nations of the world. I remember when. a few years ago. the University of Virginia. Thomas Jeffersons university. invited Ian Smith. the Prime Minister of Rhodesia. to speak at the University of Virginia. The State Department denied him a visa to come to the United States. I thought that was an outrageous thing to do. This country was built on free speech.
