Mr. Speaker. I am sure that my colleagues will be interested in learning about the good fortunes of a man who immigrated to the United States from Armenia in 1906. This man. Stephen P. Mugar. was recently the recipient of the Golden Door Award. which honors Americans of foreign birth who have made distinguished contributions to American life and culture. The award was presented by the International Institute of Boston. a center of information. service. education. and fellowship for newcomers to America. Among the other Americans who have beeln honored by the Golden Door Award are Arthur Fielder. director of the Boston Pops Orchestra.
