I continue to press for the initiation of broadcasts in the Baltic languages on Radio Liberty. On this occasion I wish to extend my greetings to all Americans of Lithuanian heritage. Their fidelity to the legitimate aspirations of the people of Lithuania is an inspiration to us all. Mr. President. we know the tremendous contribution that the people of the Baltic States who have emigrated to the United States of America have made to this great country. They have quickly integrated themselves into the mainstream of American life. They are skilled craftsmen. they are competent executives. they contribute significantly to all the arts and professions.
