Mr. Speaker. there is a misconception in the executive branch as well as among members of the news media that the only reason the Members of Congress are opposed to the Presidents trade bill is because of the restrictive immigration policies of the Soviet Union. This is but one of many important reasons in my view. Many of us are also concerned about giving away the technology of the United States to our potential enemies. This case was put in an excellent manner in an article that appeared in Business Week of January 12. 1974. Those who feel this trade is innocent and devoid of peril should read this article which follows:
