The text of my amendment follows: Resolved. That Rule XXII of the Rules of the House of Representatives is amended by adding at the end thereof the following clause: "7. No private bill or resolution. or any amendment to any such bill or resolution. authorizing or directing the immigration or naturalization of any individual shall be received or considered in the House or any committee thereof unless such bill. resolution. or amendment is accompanied by a statement. made under oath and signed by the Member introducing such bill or resolution or offering such amendment. that such Member has not received and shall not receive directly or indirectly any compensation of money or anything of value for introducing such bill or resolution or for offering such amendment."
