Mr. Speaker. I would like to take this opportunity to bring to the attention of my colleagues the case of the Galperin family. Jewish citizens of the U.S.S.R. Tamara and Anatoly Galperin and their teenage daughter. Eugenia. who reside in Moscow. applied in November 1971 to emigrate to Israel. their applications have repeatedly been denied. Anatoly Galperin worked as a mathematician. but when he applied for an exit permit was forced to leave his job and now works in a bank. Tamara Galperin works as a translator. Her brother was allowed to go to Israel. and her elderly parents also received permission to leave but declined to depart without Tamara and her family.
