Speaker. should be remembered by all of us and we should take pride in them. We should be equally proud of the countless other men and women who came to this land from Poland in the decades and centuries that followed the settlement at Jamestown. helped to conquer the wilderness. and to build the American Nation upon this continent. In these days of fastmoving events. it is necessary to pause and reflect on our proud heritage and to draw strength and inspiration from past accomplishments. Todays observation of the 365th anniversary of the first immigrants of Poles to America is certainly a day for which we can all be proud.
