I associate myself with this amendment. which was offered by the Senator from Minnesota . and was adopted. Had I been here. I would have been one of its cosponsors at that time. I am sure that the Austrian people themselves have not forgotten that not too many years ago. great numbers of Austrians themselves were homeless and adrift. I pray that the people of Austria will heed this expression by the Senate which bespeaks the concern of the American people and indicate in clear terms that their country is not to be swayed by minor league terrorism from an established humanitarian and responsible policy of facilitating the transit of refugees.
