Session #93 · 1973–75

Speech #930122181

President. unconstitutional raids and illegal searches and seizures are the more pressing concerns of our Nations Latino communities. With indignation. I would like to protest the harsh tactics being imposed on our Latino communities today by the U.S. Immigration Department. Massive roundups and scare techniques have no place in our society if it is to remain free. Letters that follow. one written by Mr. Sanford M. Gage. president of the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association. eloquently expressed what should be the outrage of the country as a whole to the actions of the Department of Immigration. I ask unanimous consent that the letters be printed in the RECORD.
