We talk about the Congress appropriating. we talk about the Congress authorizing. but when funds are impounded. Congress screams. I want to note that the greatest contributor to inflation in our country has been the Congress of the United States of America. Later on. I want to call the Members attention to some very. very famous speeches that were made on this floor last session. not by Republicans but by Democrats. I say that in a complimentary way. It so happens that I have a very deep concern about the welfare of my country. My parents were immigrants. They were poor. Yet this great Nation has since given me the opportunity of being in this body.
