Mr. President. I would like to share with Members of Congress and other readers of the RECORD a letter made available to me by Mrs. Gladys Sharon of Veneta. Oreg. The letter. dated April 7. 1881. was written by Mrs. Sharons grandfather. Mr. R. Price. who emigrated from Wales to the town of Tracy in my own State of Minnesota in search of the individual freedom offered by our great land. Mr. Prices daughterMrs. Sharons motheris Mrs. L. W. Potter of Fresno. Calif. Mr. Price addressed himself to his mother and sister. still in Wales. in order to share with them the hardships that our young. still untamed land presented.
