I stayed in the residence of the American Ambassador. and every night I was there. B52 bombing was carried on. The house was literally shaking. as were the windows. and literally thousands of refugees were pouring into the capital city of Phnom Penh. I had the opportunity to talk to some of these refugees. and many thought the real enemy was the United States of America. because they were being bombed out of their houses by the B52s. It has been said that our bombs are directly on target. Therefore. it is assumed by some that no civilians are being bombed.
