Mr. Speaker. I would like to take this occasion to commend Mr. Ben Margines for his many years of outstanding service and leadership in religious. community. and political affairs in Los Angeles. Ben Margines was born in Poland. emigrated to British occupied Palestine in 1934where he served in the undergroundand then emigrated from Israel to the United States. with his wife and son. in January 1961. He became a citizen of the United States in 1965. Mr. Margines has been deeply involved in senior citizen activities. including the Senior Citizens Leadership Training program of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
