Sponsored by the wellknown American educator. John Dewey. the Kollmans finally successfully emigrated to the United States in March The family came to Iowa in the fall of that year and. after teaching for 4 years at Parsons College and serving on the staff of the Army specialized training program at the University of Iowa. Dr. Kollman joined the Cornell College faculty as a professor of contemporary world history. a subject that he has both personally experienced and to which he has contributed scholarly insight.
