The personnel subject to the cut would come from a number of executive agencies and departments such as Justice. Agriculture. Commerce. HEW. the National Aeronautics and Space Agency. the ExportImport Bank and others. I am not personally familiar with many of the programs which would be affected but I do know that the Department of Justice has slightly over 300 officials overseas connected with law enforcement. including drug control activities. and with the Departments Immigration and Naturalization Service. I would seriously question the merit of taking cuts in these activities. Rather than the indiscriminate reduction that woudl be mandated by section 504.
