The message is the result of a weekend telephone call between Vladimir Machlis and Dr. David Korn. chairman of the Soviet Jewry Committee on the Jewish Committee on the Jewish Community Council of Greater Washington. Less than 3 weeks ago. on April 20. I reported to this body that Mr. Machlis. a 27yearold Moscow resident. had unsuccessfully sought six times to obtain permission to emigrate to Israel to join his mother. sister and twin brother.
