Session #92 · 1971–73

Speech #920213817

No. of course it would greatly increase the prospect of bloodshed. Senator AIKEN. And also the charges made that Vietnamization is not working anyway. I read a story which appeared in one of the Nations big newspapers on April 9. in the New York Times. telling how the people who owned their homes and worked their farms up In the North were not giving them up and becoming refugees simply on command of the North Vietnamese but were fighting back just as the Americans did at Lexington and Concord some two hundred years ago. Is that correct? I have never seen that story anywhere else.
