I made reference to the experiences of four of my constituents from Highland Park. Ill.. in the Soviet Union when they visited there last year. In the course of their visit. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Braverman and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Alpert had occasion to meet a small number of Soviet Jews some of whom were seeking to emigrate from the Soviet Union. Mr. Speaker. these honorable and lawabiding American citizens were detained and harrassed at the Moscow airport at the time of their intended departure from the Soviet Union.
