Session #92 · 1971–73

Speech #920204082

Some antiwar individuals demonstrated what were contended to be parts of bombs supposedly dismantled by workers of the American Machine Foundry Co. in York. Pa. One of the demonstrators was Eqbal Ahmad. a Pakistani immigrant and a defendant in the just concluded conspiracy trial of the Harrisburg Seven. The irony of the case centers in the fact that he is not an American citizen and that he had the gall to castigate our public officials and threaten violence in the event the war in Vietnam was not terminated. He is a menace and a threat to the security of the United States.
