The heroic struggle of the Hungarian people for truth. justice. freedom. and peace shines as a glowing example of the inability of even ovirwhelming odds to extinguish the flame of freedom. American ties with the free people of Hungary reach way back into our history. After another illfated revolt in 1848. America honored the hero of that day. Lajos Kossuth. Throughout the years.
