It is known that the Syrian Government has created a special investigation commission to probe into the personal and individual life of every member of the Jewish community over the age of 13. These actions are repugnant to the concept of human freedom and dignity. These are not ideals that may be given or taken away at the whim of governments. these are the undeniable rights of all citizens of all countries. For over a decade. the Syrian Government absolutely has refused to permit emigration. Every Jewish man and woman caught seeking to make their way out of the country will receive a lengthy prison sentence and could possibly be sentenced to death. Just a few months ago 12 young men were seized seeking to escape.
