Lithuanians. and Estonians in the United States commemorated with a special church service on Sunday. June 13. the 30th anniversary of the mass deportations of the Baltic peoples to slavelabor camps in Siberia. where most perished under inhuman conditions. While we hear a clamor for oneman. onevote in Rhodesia and South Africa and in the United Nations General Assembly where the smallest of African nations has a vote equal to that of the United States. silence prevails regarding the right of the peoples of the Baltic nations to vote at all. The opinionmakers in this country refuse to advocate selfdetermination for the captive nations. yet are vociferous in demanding this for emerging underprivileged nations.
