The Nationalist government on Taiwan has been trying to help solve the refugee proglem. It has so far resettled a total of over 150.000 refugees. but that is only a fraction of the total number of escapees. The irony today is that when we are being fed flowing stories of Peking in our press. the influx of Chinese refugees into the British colony continues on an increasing scale. It could only testify to one fact: The Chinese Communist regime is anything but stable. The younger generation who are brought up under Communist rule are so disillusioned with it that they are voting by their feet to escape from Maos land.
