Speech #920004895

Where is the honor in a nation of decaying cities? What honor will the world give a nation which has been warned but does nothing to reverse the trend toward a divided society. toward a future of armed suburbs and a nomans land in the city? We may all be honorable men. but honor is in the eye of the beholder. whether the person be a refugee from a bombed Cambodian town. a resident of a U.S. ghetto or a hungry child. In my eye. honor demands we set a date certain for withdrawal of all troops from Southeast Asia. negotiate return of our POWs and get about correcting those inequities at home with which no affluent Nation can existwith or withput honor.
