Mr. Speaker. section 203(a) (7) of the Immigration and Nationality Act authorizes the conditional entry into the United States of 10.200 refugees annually who because of persecution or fear of persecution. or on account of race. religion. or political opinion. have fled from any communistdominated country or from a country in the general area of the Middle East. or who are uprooted from their homes by natural calamity. Furthermore. section 203(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act requires the Attorney General to submit a report containing a complete and detailed statement of facts in the case of each alien conditionally entered pursuant to the above section. The reports must be submitted on or before January 15 and June 15 of each year. In accordance with this section of law. the following report summarizing the operation of the refugee section was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. In order that the House may be fully informed of the operation of section 203(a) (7) of the immigration. I wish to insert this report in the RECORD.
