Consequently. there are many who take the position that Nasser was the only Arab with sufficient stature to bring stability to the Middle East. They feel that the preservation of peace will not be possible without Nassers strong hand. Admittedly. hatred. revolution. and war have long beset that part of the world. Arab factions are warring against each other and against the Jews. The Palestinian refugees have too long been ignored. They have legitimate grievances and their leaders are now becoming dominant in many parts of the Arab world. It is obvious that the area faces a period of great danger. that conflict can break out at any moment.
