They would then go up into Georgia and South Carolina for the peach crop. They would then go on up in the country. many of them landing in New York or Vermont for the apple harvest or over in Michigan for the cherry picking or in other parts of the country. They present a completely different problem from the problem of the eight workers who work for half a year on one farm. they work on literally hundreds of farms and groves.
