But no farmworker will have received a penny of that $50 billion. In 1970 alone. employees will receive more than $2 billion in unemployment insurance benefits. but no farm worker will receive a penny of that coverage. There are some 58 million workers covered by unemployment insurance today. and this conference report will add an additional 4 million. but not a single migrant or seasonal farm worker will yet be covered under this legislation. We hear the argument that one of the reasons is that we do not know how to cover migratory farm workers. and that more research is needed. But I would remind the Senate. as did the Senator from Ohio. that the President of the United States.
