Speaker. this dinner will be well attended as proud and grateful men and women from all over the country come to Chicago to pay their homage to a man whose vision. courage. and determination made history in this country. It will be our privilege. too. to hear from Mike that evening. to listen again to the eloquence which made a singular impression upon so many Members of Congress. I am attaching to my remarks two statements by Mike made years ago. The first which is entitled "The Japanese American Citizens League Creed" was read into the RECORD by Senator Elbert Thomas of Utah on May 9. 1941. The second was made by Mike on April 21. 1948. before the House Committee on the Judiciary in the hearing on changes in the immigration laws. The statements follow:
