Mr. Chairman. a nation just as a person that receives help should also be willing to share at least from the benefits it receives. Mr. Chairman. as I have pointed out many times. our country has received more foreign aid than any country in history. Foreign aid has come to us in various forms. It came with the 45.000.000 who have immigrated to this country. It came with many needed material things brought here to help build the institutions that serve America. It came with the ideals and ideas that serve the basic freedoms. It came with the millions of dollars that were needed to carry us through crisis periods and it came with the military aid to help us win the military battles to protect and promote the freedoms in critical times in our history.
