HASCHE The Senate proceeded to consider the bill for the relief of Dr. Max Ruetger Hasche. which had been reported from the Committee on the Judiciary with an amendment. in line 6. after the word "of". strike out "February 2. 1963. and his residence and physical presence since that date". and insert "February 28. 1963. and the time he has resided and been physically present in the United States". so as to make the bill read: That. for the purposes of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Doctor Max Ruetger Hasche shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of February 28. 1963. and the time he has resided and been physically present in the United States shall be deemed to meet the requirements of section 316 of that Act.
