Mr. President. recently the American Association of Homes for the Aging presented its Award of Honor to Dr. Solomon Geld. Dr. Geld established the first selfcontained apartment project for the elderly in New Jersey. He is renowned in the field of gerontology for his learned papers and thoughtful professional publications. A refugee from oppression. Dr. Geld has devoted the 30odd years since his arrival in this country to nonprofit care of the aged. Social components of care and continuity of care are hallmarks of the professionalism so manifest in the work of this dedicated man. At present. Dr. Geld is executive director of the Daughters of Miriam Home and Infirmary for the Aged in Clifton.
