Mr. President. this year is the 22d of homelessness and hopelessness for the Palestinian refugees in the Middle East. The refugees now number approximately 2V2 million. 11/2 million living in refugee camps on a subsistence basis. A man who has dealt with these forsaken people and understands their problems is Harry E. Martens. who. in 1969. received the Lane Bryant International Volunteers Award. The February 21. 1970. issue of "A.M.. the Elkhart Truth" contains an article about Mr. Martens and the problems of the refugees in the Middle East. I ask unanimous consent that the article be printed in the RECORD.
