Session #91 · 1969–71

Speech #910184278

President. my interest in this legislation stems from conversations which I had with members of the Canadian Parliament during a visit to Canada in 1969 for participation in the 12th CanadaUnited States interparliamentary meeting. After I returned from the meeting. I received several letters from two members of the Canadian Parliament. Hon. Marcel Lambert. and Hon. J. Judd Buchanan. which outlined in detail the unfair restrictions which our new Immigration Act had imposed upon Canadian businessmen. Because of their importance to the legislative history of S. 2593. I ask unanimous consent that these letters be printed at this point in the RECORD.
